Gilbert Van Heyste takes the first steps towards specialised tank transport, introducing the first stainless-steel tankers and container chassis.
Guy and Philippe Van Heyste take over and guide the company towards sustainable growth, gradually building it into what it is today.
The company relocates to the strategically situated Lakeland industrial estate, between Bruges and Ghent. Transport Van Heyste expands its services to include tank cleaning.

Together, we ensure flawless service, from drivers and planners to administrative staff, technicians and cleaning specialists. Every link in our team plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest quality standards, with passion and expertise.
Drivers are the face of our company on the road. They are professionally trained and experienced in liquid food transport. They regularly update their eco-driving and food safety skills (HACCP, GMP+, Kosher), and take training courses in such areas as first aid and driving/rest regulations.
Planners and administrative staff ensure smooth follow-up for every transport, from order to feedback after delivery. Thanks to their communication skills and advanced software, everything is perfectly under control.
Our technical team has its own workshop. They keep our fleet, including trucks and trailers, in top condition. Together with our cleaning team, which hygienically prepares every tanker according to the strictest food standards, they guarantee impeccable service.
